So tell us what Boomcloud Apps is about?
Boomcloud is about helping dental practices create in-house membership programs and basically what we have done is create a software that helps dental practices create, organize, and automate their own membership program. The best way that I can explain it is like an Amazon Prime membership or Costco membership for dental practices. A patient pays a monthly or yearly fee to the practice and they receive certain discounts and benefits to that practice and that practice only. What our program essential does is help automate payments and auto renewals. The software also integrates with the practice website so patients can actually sign up for their plans right at anytime.
Is this supposed to take the place of insurance?
Not exactly but it can in some practices but most practices use it for the large amount of patients that don’t have dental insurance and need a program or incentive to get to the dental office. Most dental practices that do this kind of strategy exclude it for patients that don’t have dental insurance. Thats what I see most commonly across the nation but you are really free to do what ever you want to with this type of program.
So whats the process to get this program started? What does a dentist have to do to get this going?

How can a dentist figure out if this type of program is right for them?
Typically the question that I ask when I have a practice that is not sure if this type of business strategy works for them is “Are you sick of dental insurance companies controlling your fees and what you can charge your patients?” Most of the time those dentists say that they want more control. The second question I ask is for them to look at their patient base and how many of your patients do not have dental insurance. Most of the time, the doctors that I speak with are excited to implement this strategy because they realize that there is a large market out there without dental insurance and this type of program can really help reel in some of those patients.
