Welcome to The Passionate Dentist’s Podcast
My name is Dr. B and I will be your host for this weekly podcast. My real name is Dr.Bilal Saib and I am a full time practicing dentist here in the town of Chapel Hill, NC, USA.
This podcast is about:
Connecting you with our featured guests to listen to and learn from every week.
Although the passionate dentist implies that its about the dentist, its actually about everyone in the profession of dentistry as a whole. So, if you are a dental assistant, dental nurse, hygienist, therapist, practice manager, business manager, marketer, or laboratory technician (ceramist in some countries) this podcast is for you. Also, if you are a wife or husband of dental person this may even apply to you…. especially the psychology and lifestyle sections….
Every week I interview a featured guest whom I believe is super important to our profession. Sometimes it will be a super dentist giving clinical advice or practice wisdom, sometimes it will be a super hygienist, super assistant, consultant, marketer, designer, psychologist, editor of dental publications, and even guests that can teach us about athletics and health as it pertains to our profession. Even though the topics are endless, they will always involve the dental environment somehow.
The profession of dentistry is awesome and I love it. I want to approach it from every angle to make sure the people in the field of dentistry are well rounded and complete. There is a reason why entering into dental school is becoming more difficult around the world. People are realizing that dentistry is THE best healthcare profession out there!
This podcast is recorded, edited and organized so that each episode is packed full of useful information to you. Let me give you a general outline:
Each episode will be broken down into two sections:
1. The first section will be the interview section involving multiple open ended questions and discussions where:
a. Each guest will be asked to share a motivational quote with us and explain why and how it has influenced their lives.
b. Each guest will be asked to talk about what they do to help the profession as a whole.
c. Each guest will be asked to share a difficult story of either involving themselves or someone they have helped.
d. Each guest will be asked to discuss the one main challenge of dentistry today and what they see as a way to overcome it..
e. Each guest will be asked what they see in the horizon that is totally awesome for the profession of dentistry.
2. The second section is even more packed full of take home bits of information because it will be what I call “Quick Response Questions.” These questions are designed to be short and powerful. Here are the questions:
a. What is the best advice you have ever received?
b. Can you give us one clinical or practice management information pearl that we can take to our practices or lives tomorrow?
c. What technology truly excites you right now?
d. Can you give us an internet or app resource you think is truly awesome?
e. If you were to lose everything right now and had to start again in a new place where no one knows you, how would you do it.
f. The one must-read book right now for dental people from your perspective.
g. How can we connect with you?
So, when I said packed full of useful information I can’t think of anywhere else one can get this many knowledge pearls in just around 30 minutes per week and if you can I want to know about it.
