In todays episode, we discuss:
– What is NextLevel Practice?
– Complete Health Dentistry
– Working from Limited Beliefs
What makes NextLevel Practice different from other consulting companies?
We are the founders of Complete Health Dentistry, where we founded a business model that has an education process for the oral systemic connections, so preventive care for the entire team. Under that blanket of Complete Health Dentistry, there are five particular areas that we focus in on: financial health, physical health, mental health, social health, and spiritual health. So people grow in these five areas and how we do that is to invent three levels of dentistry. Level one is the business model itself, because when I first got into this business, and I found that the business model was antiquated and didn’t allow you to run a business. Then we reinvented the education system, because flying a consultant out doesn’t work. And then lastly, when you can change the way a patient looks at dentistry, and change the way the patient perceives dentistry and dentists. These three things can help transform the entire healthcare system through dentistry. So we do consulting, coaching and training. So our consulting is putting the fundamentals of two areas of expertise that we are the best in the world at. The first is constructing a business model that is designed for the dentist and his or her lifestyle. What ever kind of business you are looking to create as a dentist, we will custom make a business model to fit your goals. Then we fill out the tactics that allow you to fulfill your image of an ideal practice. Most people when they are trying to fix a dental practice, they think its the people but its not. First is the strategy and the infrastructure that allows your practice to run. If you dont change the infrastructure of your practice, and the context, and the purpose, and the vision of it, and the values that operate inside of that, then nothing is really going to change about your practice.
Can you tell us a little more about what you mean by limiting beliefs?
A good example of a limiting belief is that patients don’t want to pay money for dentistry, they just want to do what insurance covers. If you are just presenting solutions to people, what happens is that, no one buys solutions to problems that they don’t think that they have. If you haven’t done your job and haven’t reinvented how you approach the patient, and you’re asking the question when you walk into your room, which came from your professor, which was that your professor taught you to find a cheap complaint and fix it. The last 20 years that I have done this, I have asked dentists if their professors gave them this advice, and everyone one of them said absolutely yes. So what that does is just perpetuates the past business model and tries to create a new future that is impossible using an outdated business model. So when you get to the source of shifting the things that keep perpetuating the recurring problems in dentistry, you can then not have a practice that is like everybody else’s, and only get to where everyones practice is going to.
What do you want listeners to take away from this interview?
People are living in secret shame about not living a full life. In life we are dealt circumstances. You are not your circumstances, don’t think outside the box because the box will always be there. Just get rid of the box and get truthful about things. Things can turn around once you get to the truth about them. Someone has been down this road before you, so you are not alone. We help people see if we can help them or not. We are trying to save this industry.
